Carrie is a healthy eating, active lifestyle advocate, Yoga Teacher in the suburbs of Chicago where she lives with her 3 sons. Carrie spent the early portions of her career in administration at a larger corporation and would go on to spend 13 years in office management at a busy company, growing, building and playing a major role in the success of that business.
In her off time, during her years working in the corporate world, Carrie’s love for a life more aligned with things she was deeply passionate about, things she wanted to be fully invested in began to emerge into her life in the most profound, life shifting/re-shaping ways. As these passions began to take over her life she wanted nothing more than to share these passions with the world. So, in 2015 Carrie began her official path towards becoming the yoga teacher she is today.
Seven years into her teaching career and 11 years into her yoga journey, Carrie has taught to thousands of people. She has always remained deeply committed towards her evolution as a teacher. Certified as a Hatha teacher but fully invested in her abilities Carrie teaches multiple perspectives of yoga. As an athlete herself, Carrie's understanding of the body comes from her passion for yoga, cycling, running and, most recently jiu jitsu or women's self defense. With her interests in the body being so connected to the world of athleticism an abundant amount of Carrie’s focus has been directed towards movement and mobility, alignment based stretching as well as uniquely self sequenced transitional classes meant to cultivate deep releases, strength, and balance within the body.
Carrie has spent a great amount of time in front of regular yoga rooms teaching beginners, all level classes, power classes, chair classes, her favorite are her stretch classes she has taught throughout all of her years of teaching. Two of the areas of teaching that hold a lot of importance to Carrie is around the time she's spent teaching to those actively fighting cancer or have conquered cancer and are now in remission from it and additionally the years she spent in mental health and wellness centers both inpatient and outpatient helping people in these areas of life find peace and solace.
With the ever changing ways our world has developed in recent years and Carrie’s overwhelming desire to share her gifts and the all encompassing benefits of her classes, it only makes sense to formally expand her reach to those who now have found value in working from a virtual perspective whether that be because of health concerns, convenience, or global distance. Carrie will still be available in person but now, virtually too.
